I started this blog in September 2011 out of a passion for good literature and a desire to engage with a wider reading audience and share that passion. I review books, talk about literary prizes and industry news, as well as industry events. I always love to read comments from my readers and exchange opinions and views.
Topic-wise, I am interested in: literary & historical fiction, feminism, memoir & biography, psychology & mental health, and sex & relationships. I welcome guest posts as they help to add variety. If you would like to contribute to the blog with a review or article get in touch at lizzi@theselittlewords.com or via Twitter.
I am happy to accept review copies but cannot accept ebooks; please email me at the above address to find out where to send review copies. I read and review books as soon as I can after receiving them and will notify the publisher when the review is online. At the moment I am not accepting unsolicited review copies.
Books make us better people, and our love for them brings us together.

Sounds interesting! Really looking forward to your review of the Marilyn book. I read a piece by the author in the guardian and wasn’t really convinced by her arguments – will be interested to find out what you think
Thanks! I’ve read about a few people who didn’t really agree with Banner point of view, so you’re not alone. Working on my review at the moment, and will post soon.
